Paula Ann Groves 1972—2021
Paula Ann Groves, 49, of Rockford, IL, died on May 6, 2021 in Rockford. She was born April 21, 1972, in Belvidere, IL, daughter to Loyd and Becky (Schwartz) Mayberry. She married her sweetheart, Michael Groves January 1, 2018 at the Church By The Side of The Road in Rockton, IL. Paula received her bachelor degree and worked as a respiratory therapist at Rochelle Hospital. She loved photography and was very creative.
Paula was the most caring, gentle, generous and loving person any of us will ever know. Paula loved spending time with her family and friends. Nothing pleased her more than making memories with her loved ones. Paula loved to travel and see the beauty all around us. Paula loved photography and being creative. She would often do small kind gestures for people just to make their day a little brighter. Paula would help anyone who needed it. In her death she was able to save and help others through her donation of her organs and tissues. Paula will continue to help and give for a long time to come. Paula was so loved by many and will be missed always. Paula would want all of us to carry on her kind and generous spirit.
Paula is loved and will be missed by her husband; stepson, Marshal Groves; mother, Becky Mayberry; brother, Brad (Richel) Mayberry; twin brothers, Mike (Allison) and Matt (Melissa Rico) Mayberry; step sister, Sarah (Andy) Parke; mother in-law, Peggy Groves; father in-law, Ronald Groves; and sister in-laws, Kim (Dennis) Rhodes and Amanda (Kent) Wishop; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Loyd Mayberry.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 15th. A private family gathering will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. with an open house at Mike and Paula's home from 2 to 6 p.m.
