Paul St. George Obituary
He was born Jan. 23, 1932, in West Castleton, the son of Joseph and Ellen (Doran) St. George.
He married Miriam Hay Aug. 20, 1955.
Mr. St. George was self employed as a custom sign painter for many years until retiring.
He was a member of Fair Haven Rescue Squad and Fire Department and Our Lady of Seven Dolors Church, where he was also in the choir.
He was a Boy Scout leader, Special Olympics coach and an avid fisherman who enjoyed looking for deer and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of Fair Haven; two daughters, Ellen St. George of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Betty Brown of Castleton; two sons, John St. George of Hilo, Hawaii, and Abe St. George of Fair Haven; a sister, Alice Villemaire of Springfield; his stepmother, Eva St. George of Winooski; two granddaughters, four grandsons and a great-grandson; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at the Durfee Funeral Home, 119 North Main St., Fair Haven.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Church in Fair Haven.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fair Haven Concerned or Castleton/Fair Haven Special Olympics, in care of Durfee Funeral Home, PO Box 86, Fair Haven, VT 05743.

Miriam,Ellen,John,Betty and Abe, so sorry for your loss. Paul had such a talent with his painting. As neighbors I remember watching in amasement as he made his signs seamingly come to life. My heartfelt condolences.

We are so very sorry to hear of Paul's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I got out the pictures of your wedding when I was your flower girl. That was one of the highlights in my young life. My mother always said that memories are precious and indeed they are.

Mrs. St George and Family; I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I have known Paul my whole life. He was a master painter who I watched as a kid and I rode the rescue squad with him for many years. He was a great guy and will be missed. My deepest sympathies.
