Dr. Gabrielle Guedet, née Gorman, 80, passed away peacefully May 15, 2019 at her daughter's home in Reno. Gabby was born to James and Josephine Gorman February 14, 1939 in San Francisco, and graduated from St. Vincent's High School. She is survived by 4 siblings (Sylvia, James, Liona, and Marylu), her children (Kate, Evelyn, Mark, Mateo, and Anne-Marie) and 8 grandchildren. Gabby was a child play therapist in Sacramento, and earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 1998. She was a murder mystery aficionado, enjoyed museums, local theater, good food, and good friends. When she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, she did not flinch or waste the time she had left. Gabby got on with death the same way she had lived, day by day, without bitterness or anger, but rather with love, compassion and wisdom. Her children will spread her ashes under the Golden Gate Bridge that her father helped build, and her friends will host a celebration of her life at River Bend Park in Sacramento on July 27.

To The Family Of Dr. Gabrielle Guedet,
Words cannot express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your Mother and Grandmother. We just found out about
Dr. Guedet's passing, and she was a very special lady in me and my son, Joshua's life. She brought me and my son, Joshua through a very difficult time in our life, and will always be loved and missed. She touched our life in many encouraging ways, and may you find peace in knowing that she was truly a very special leader, friend and advocate for many children and families, including ours. She was my son's therapist for many years, and will always be loved.
You are in our prayers and with love,
Robin Gray and Joshua

Gabby, I miss you every day. Thank you so very much for being my supervisor, mentor, colleague, good friend and chosen family member. I felt so lost here in Sacramento and you made me feel like I had a home. Until we meet again - keep being you wherever you are.
I will try to live life as you have taught me to - with passion and to the fullest.
Lots of love, Heather Blessing
