Barbara Jean Hunten, born January 20th 1946, passed away August 31st 2018 after a five and a half year battle with aplastic anemia. She graduated from San Francisco State in 1969 and taught elementary school for 40 years, 30 of them at Carlin C. Coppin in Lincoln, California. She is survived by her husband, Howard Hunten. She is mother to Janeal Speight, Elizabeth Hunten, and Michael Hunten. A memorial service will be held on Oct. 6th, at 1pm in the Maidu Community Center, where Barbara and Howard were married in 1991.

Barbara was a wonderful person and will be missed by all. She was a wonderful companion for Howard. My prayers go out to the family.
