Scott Sagaria Obituary

Scott Joseph Sagaria, 42, passed away unexpectedly at his Roseville, California home on September 4, 2018. Scott was larger than life and lived each day to the absolute fullest. He was a loving father, dedicated son and brother, loyal friend and accomplished attorney. He was one of a kind, incredibly generous and indulgent to all of those he loved. He found great joy in spending time with his children, attending their sporting events, traveling, going to concerts and watching his beloved New York Jets. Scott is survived by his children, Joshua Grant (12) and Justin Vaughn (10); his father, Joseph Sagaria; siblings, John and Christine (Erin); niece Alexandra; his girlfriend Lauren Pruett, and former spouse, Stephanie (Miller). He was preceded in death by his beautiful mother, Rose. Scott was born November 17, 1975 in Suffern, New York to Joseph and Rose (Borowski). He graduated from St. Johns University in 1998 before relocating to California to attend Santa Clara University School of Law where he graduated with his J.D. in 2001. Soon thereafter, he hung a shingle and established a solo legal practice that quickly grew into a large, well established and respected law firm. Nevertheless, his greatest source of pride remained his two amazing boys, with whom he shared his sense of adventure and spontaneity, as well as his infectious smile. A wake is scheduled for September 12, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Chapel of the Valley, 97 Vernon Street, Roseville. The funeral is scheduled for September 13 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1950 Junction Boulevard, Roseville. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Scott's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an education fund in Scott's memory for his children, checks payable to Joshua and Justin Sagaria, PO Box 13236, Sacramento, CA 95813.
