It is with great sadness the family of Bobbie Jean Hubbs, beloved mother and grandmother announce her passing on August 17, 2018. Born during the depression in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on October 23, 1932. Proceeded in death by parents Paul and Ila Morton and Rudy and Jackie Mosqueda her mother's sister and husband as the lifelong guardians and friends for Bobbie and her brother Paul. Bobbie is survived by daughter Kristi Britt and grand-daughter Erin Melvin, her daughter Maria Lawton, son/husband Christopher and grand-daughter Krista Lawton. Brothers Paul Morton, his wife Theresa and Jim Mosqueda, his wife Gloria and their children. Her many nieces, nephews, beloved family members and friends and all those she "adopted" as hers. After her marriage in 1951 to John Morales and the birth of her two daughters, she moved from Fresno to Sacramento in 1956, divorcing in 1969. In 1971, Dean Hubbs came into her life, parting after 15 years. She served as a Branch Manager on the board of directors for Sacramento County Grange, Safeway Employee and California Teachers Association Credit Unions. Moving onto the automobile industry, Bobbie retired from Clinton Leasing and Sales in 2008, after 24 years. She was a member and first woman president of the National Vehicle Leasing Association (NVLA). In 1988 Bobbie joined the nationwide Rotary Club, South Sacramento Chapter. In 1995 Bobbie became the first woman President of South Sacramento Rotary, a club dominated by men and the recipient of two Paul Harris National Awards. She resigned from Rotary in 1998. Bobbie will be remembered for her strength, compassion, sense of humor, style and class. Her life will be celebrated amongst family and friends at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento, Ca. 95819 on September 22, 2018 at 12 noon.
