Chuck passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2018 at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rita Ellis, 3 sons Steve, Craig & David, Daughters-in-law Carmengina & Sharon, 3 granddaughters: Felicia, Becka and Sarah, and his brother & sister Jerry & Joni. Born in Iowa, he moved to Los Angeles CA, where he met Rita, the love of his life. They moved to Carmichael CA in 1955. Chuck was an expert within the heating/air conditioning industry. Often providing free advice to all (even competitors), thus earning the nickname "No-Charge" Charlie. Chuck loved to spend time with his family and friends boating and camping along the Sacrament River and Delta waterways. He supported his boys in all their sports and activities, including Little League Baseball, where he continued to coach other youth for many years after his boys had moved on. Chuck & Rita moved to Sun City Lincoln Hills, CA in 1999, where they were active in many of the social groups. Chuck was an avid golfer, a long-time 49er Faithful, and a very talented artist and musician. Chuck will be remembered as a loving husband, an amazing father and grand dad, and a giving friend to all he touched. There will be a "Celebration of Life" to be held on Saturday September 29th at Kilaga Springs Lodge in Del Webb's Sun City Lincoln Hills, CA, from 12pm to 2pm.
