Dowayne F. "Corky" Coon passed peacefully on March 28, 2018. Born in Shelton, Nebraska on June 13, 1931 the 9th of 11 children to James and Olive Coon. Dowayne was an Army veteran having served in the Korean War from 1947 to 1951. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary Coon, step son Steve Allen his parents and nine of his siblings. Corky is survived by his brother Verl (Margaret) Coon of Lincoln, Nebraska. His daughters Lori Rangel (Victor) of Sacramento and Carri Dodds (David) of Rocklin. Six grand-children, seven great-grand-children, and former wife Norma J. Coon. Please join us for a Celebration of Life on May 19th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the VFW Post 1267 7576 Stockton Blvd. Sacramento, Ca 95823. Lunch will be provided. Interment will be private on May 18, 2018.
