Edward passed away peacefully after a year-long illness at home on June 8, 2014. Born on October 22, 1935 in Tennant, CA to Guadalupe Martinez and Francisco Rincon, Edward was preceded in death by his parents, sister Velia (Bea), and brothers Peter and Frank. Edward is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dixie Lee Rincon, sister Rose, and brothers Ruben, Joe and Fred. Beloved father to Edward, Randy, and Christopher Rincon, and step- father to Denise Sheehy and Valerie Laam. Grandfather to Vincent, Chris, Natalie, Annette, and Rebecca Rincon, Sergio Velasquez, and Matt, Jon, and Michael Velasquez, plus 5 great-grandchildren. Edward's careers were many and varied. He was known as one of the best color-matching car painters in Sacramento, having his own business for over 40 years. His interest in cars led him to help build and share in racing a 1929 roadster and a dragster. Dixie and Edward had many interests including family, wine tasting, and designing and building two lovely homes. Edward created a beautiful home museum for his car, motorcycle, and tractor collection. Edward had a big heart, a great smile, and was loved by many. He will be truly missed. The Nautilus Society is handling arrangements. At Edward's request, private services will be held.
