Our amazing mom went to be with the love of her life(our amazing father) Jim Azbill on Sat. April 30, 2021.
Jennie was born and raised in Sacramento Calif. where she graduated from St. Francis Catholic School and started working at Bell Telephone until she met and married dad on Sept. 8, 1956.
They moved into their first home in Fair Oaks in 1957 and raised their 2 children across the St from grandma and grandpa Azbill for the next 20 yrs until they moved to property in Orangevale to raise cattle.
Mom tried her hand at almost everything from sorting eggs at the chicken factory on Hazel Ave. in 1965 to becoming an elementary school cook for San Juan school District. she was there from age 48-70!
Their last home was in a senior living park in Citrus Heights where they spent their final years.
She was so funny, but shy at the same time and sadly not many people got to see the side of her that just cracked us up! Jennie was predeceased by her husband of 62 yrs James Sr.(Sept 26 2019), her brothers Phillip, Tony, Alan and sister Elenore. She is survived by her children daughter Ellen, son James Jr. and her sister Connie Lopez.
services will be held at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park
Friday May 21, at 10:00 am w/reception to follow

Jennie was the greatest. Always welcoming when I went to visit. Jennie will be missed by many, most of all Ellen. They had a very special mom and daughter relationship.
