Jolee W. Sharp

Jolee Sharp was born in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She and her three sisters and one brother graduated from high school in Prairie Grove. She married after high school and had two sons. She graduated from University of Arkansas with high honors. After moving to Sacramento, California she obtained her teaching credential at Sacramento State College and then did one year of student teaching in Klamath. She returned to Folsom California where she taught at Theodore Judah elementary and Folsom High School until she was 55, teaching for a short time in Rancho Cordova. Her students knew her as Jolee Sharp and Jolee Shoemaker. After retiring she continued her love for children taught part time for 25 years at the St. Mel Catholic school in Fair Oaks. She is survived by her sons Frank Sharp in Davis and Jim Sharp in Winters, and her grandchildren Renee Sharp, Alison Sharp and Ben Sharp. There will be no memorial service.
