Joseph Gabriel Cardoza entered into eternal life on August 30, 2018. He was born December 29, 1927 in Sacramento, CA to Joseph Gabriel Cardoza, Sr. and Ethel Jessie Gray-Nelson. Joe was the youngest of nine children. He graduated from Sacramento Senior High School in February 1946 and immediately enlisted in the Army. He received an Honorable Discharge in September 1947. He then married Anna Mae Ures, in July 1950. He loved family and friends, outdoor sports and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a victim of dementia and spent the last two years in an Alzheimer's home. His passing became a blessing and he is now at peace with the love of his life, his wife of 67 years. Joe is survived by his two daughters; Jo-Ann Louise Cardoza McIntire of Orangevale, CA and Trudy Lynn Cardoza Turley (Jim) of Placerville, CA, grandson Brian Joseph McIntire (Carmen) of Rancho Cordova, CA, granddaughter Stephanie Jean McIntire St. Dennis of Folsom CA, and five great-grandchildren, Taylor Avery, Bailey Ann and Zachary Aaron McIntire, and Derek Edward and Bryce Stephen St. Dennis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The memorial services will be held on September 22, 2018 at St. Mary's Cemetery at 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA at their new Funeral Center starting at 11:00, then gravesite internment, and a reception to celebrate his life immediately following.
