Smoot, Judith Anne Age 80, passed away August 8, 2018 after a brief illness. Judy was born February 24, 1938 in Dubuque, Iowa to Jerome C. and Eva T. Kellogg and moved to Stockton, California in 1943, where she attended local schools and received her Associate of Arts Degree in 1957 from Stockton Junior College. She subsequently obtained her Real Estate license and was a member of the Stockton Board of Realtors and a top sales agent. Judy also managed a State Savings Branch Office, which merged with American Savings and Loan, at which time she joined their marketing staff and managed major corporate accounts. In 1985 Judy and her husband Thomas Smoot relocated to Citrus Heights, California where she had resided until her passing. She was active in the Divine Savior Catholic Church in Orangevale and the Saint Vincent DePaul Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Smoot Jr. and her son, Kevin P. Lauderdale (Melissa Moore). She is survived by her grandchildren, Amanda A. Simpson (Jody), Justin M. Lauderdale and Dillon P. Lauderdale and great-grandchildren, Orion Simpson and Maddox Simpson, her brother Thomas J. Kellogg (Sharon), niece Kathleen Truso and nephew Thomas D. Kellogg. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 17 at 9:30am at Divine Savior Catholic Church, followed by graveside ceremony at Calvary Cemetery.
