Larry Jo Orr was born in Salem, Oregon on 6/15/1948 and passed away in Cuyahoga Falls on 10/12/2017 at the age of 69. Larry was the oldest of 6 children born to Leslie Sylvester and Mona Illene Orr. Larry, a self-proclaimed "ski bum" in his younger days, lived most of his life in California and considered it home. He is survived by his daughter, Tiffani of Sacramento; and son, Douglas (wife Lan) of Davis and three grandsons he adored: Jacob, Hans and Jonas. He is also survived by his twin sister, Terry; sister, Leslie; and brothers, Jack and Danny. He was predeceased by his youngest brother, Timothy. Larry was a devoted Marine, serving as a Drill Instructor at the Recruiting Depot in San Diego during the Vietnam War. He received in Bachelor of Science in Business from Sacramento State in 1983, while working full time and with two young children at home. He went on to receive his Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University later in life. Throughout his career he excelled in business management working his way up at Goodyear from "busting tires" to Executive Management. In his spare time Larry loved the outdoors, his cats, to ski, to dance, his Corvettes and anything to do with the Beach Boys. Larry will be laid to rest Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Veterans Administration Cemetery in Dixon. Semper Fi dad/grandpa. We love and miss you.
