May 9, 2018 Mary Jo (Wilson) Putnam passed away on May 9, 2018 in Placerville, CA. She is survived by her son Rocke Wilson and his wife Beverly; her grandchildren Labin Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Kelly Jo Wilson, Emily Wilson, and Buck McLelland, and their families. She is preceded in death by her daughter Connie Wilson and husbands, Jim Wilson and Al Putnam. Mary Jo was born to Josie and Arthur Skidmore in Flint, Michigan on April 7, 1925. Her family moved to California, eventually settling in Arbuckle, where she graduated from high school. She then moved to Sacramento and was working for the railroad when she met, married Jim and started their family. While in Sacramento, she was a member and officer in the Inner Wheel. The family moved to Lake Tahoe and Mary Jo gave boundless support to her husband's role as land developer in Tahoe Paradise. Mary Jo knew her gifts as a person and shared them generously. She treated people well and fairly, remembered them, let them know they were loved. Her laughter and smile lit up a room or brightened a mood. For her life well spent, she was loved by many friends, cherished by family, who feel forever blessed for having had had her in their lives. At the decedent's request, no services will be held.
