Mike was born 74 years ago in Gloucester, MA., the son of James F. and Helena R. Keating and passed away January 4, 2019. Mike's family moved to Los Angeles, CA in the middle 1950's and he graduated from Granada Hills High School in 1962. Mike eventually moved to the Elk Grove area and began working for Citizen's Utilities. He became Western Regional Public Relations Manager and completed his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management at the University of San Francisco. Mike met Daphne Robichaud, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, in 1988 and they married in 1990 and resided in Sacramento for 27 years. The couple retired and moved to Sun City Roseville in 2011, where Mike could "play golf and more golf." Mike was also a die-hard Raiders fan. Mike was the Charter President of the Valley Hi Rotary Club, where he was named and awarded the Paul Harris Fellow. Mike further distinguished himself as President of the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Board for Goodwill Industries and served on the Board of the Elk Grove Senior Center as well as Homefield Advantage. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Daphne Robichaud; 1 daughter; three sons; 3 grandchildren, Alyjah, Lauren and Sam; two sisters; and one brother; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and their families. Mike also leaves behind his Corgi, Benny. There will be a celebration of Mike's life in February 2019.
