Born 9/12/1931 in Painesville Ohio. Passed into God's loving arms 12/19/18 in Fair Oaks CA. Longtime resident of North Highlands CA. Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother. She graduated from Andrews School for Girls in Willoughby, Ohio in 1950. Soon after, she married George, her high school sweetheart whom she met skating with friends on a frozen lake near Painesville. They were married for 68 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Hopkins (Zirkel) and Ralph and Josephine Hopkins, her sister, Jean Kujala and brother, Edwin Hopkins. S he is survived by her husband George, sons Carl (Carmela), Steven and daughter Barbara Leake (Philip), grandchildren Hannah and Daniel Ehrhardt, Gwendolyn, Carol Dillard (Michael), George and James Ehrhardt, Galen and Benjamin (Kesla) Leake and three great- grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and her extended church family at River City Grace Church in Sacramento where she attended for over 50 years. She was known for her sense of humor, steadfastness, her ability to make the best of bad or lean times and her hospitality. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 16th at 2pm at River City Grace Community Church 4261 Whitney Avenue, Sacramento. There will be a reception following the Service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to River City Grace Community Church or to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
