Born 4/14/37 in Chicago, IL. Died 9/6/18 in Sacramento after struggling with cancer. Survived by wife Marcia Puyper Garrison, children Leslie and Steve McCrum, Monique and Joshua Gregory and Danny and Niki Garrison, stepson David and Eden Montgomery, daughter-in-law Nicole Garrison, grand-children Sarah, Courtney, Marisa, Mitchell, Dylan, Cheryl Collin, Christopher, Seraphina and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents Roy Sr. and Hester and son Jim. Roy grew up in San Jose where he graduated from James Lick HS and started with Pacific Bell. He transferred to Sacramento and retired as an Eng. Mgr. after 35 years. He was active with Indian Guides and the YMCA when his children were young. He enjoyed computers, golf, tennis and racquetball. He was a member and past Deacon of Fremont Presbyterian Church and member of Telecom Pioneers and SIRS #69. At Fremont he led the Tool Box ministry. Services on Sat., Sept. 22 at Fremont Presbyterian at 1pm.
