Ruth Garrow, of Sacramento, CA. passed away on Sept 2., 2018. Above all, Ruth was a loving grandmother to Lizzie, Jacob, Caroline and Ava Eaton. She was the mother of Douglas and John Eaton. Ruth grew up in her beloved Long Beach, New York, the daughter of Joseph and Fay Garrow, and sister to Constance. Ruth, at age 16, attended New York University, majoring in Fine Arts. She moved to Hollywood, Florida to raise her family. It was there she met her cherished friends Marilyn, Pat, and Roz. Ruth was strong, sharp, funny, sarcastic, loyal, proud. A 3-time cancer survivor, she worked on Wall Street for 10 years as a stockbroker; a pioneer in the male-dominated industry. She also enjoyed her time working as Associate Dean of the Touro College of Pharmacy in Manhattan. Ruth retired to Sacramento, CA in 2015 to be closer to family. She was a member of B'nai Israel congregation. She supported The WEAVE to Work program. She also enjoyed needlepoint, collecting art, reading, and watching documentaries. Private services will be held.
