Sam was born and raised in Sacramento, California and graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School. He became a tradesman for several years until he and his brother Vince went into partnership opening a grocery store in Elder Creek. His real love was being a cattleman. He raised cattle and did so for many years. Sam loved people and never met a stranger. He loved his neighbors and friends like they were family and can always be remembered for his generosity. His parents and four siblings proceeded him in death. Sam leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and neighbors. A special thank you to his caregiver Jesse Miranda for the loving care he provided Sam through many years of illnesses. Sam will be truly missed. There will be a rosary and mass on Wednesday, Sept 19, 10am at St Mary's Cemetery and Funeral (St Joseph's Chapel). The burial will immediately follow along with an onsite reception.
