HUNTER, Christine Hope
Chris is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 24 years, Alex Wayne Hunter. Preceded in death by her father, John A. Anderson, Chris will also be missed by her loving mother, Doris Anderson; brother, Tim Anderson; sisters, Karen Martin and Betsy Peterson; sister-in-law, Rose Anderson; stepdaughters, Jerilyn Constantino and Shannan McKafee; her grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Cory, and Christopher; & the rest of her family and friends, who cherished the lighthearted love and happiness that she brought to their lives. She graduated from local Luther Burbank High School and then Sacramento City College before going on to a career in the California State Justice Department. She loved great conversation over a cup of coffee with friends at Buckthorn's, had an eye for vintage movies, a penchant for craftiness, and above all, a truly special bond with her husband, Wayne. Their love for each other translated into a relationship of mutual support and respect, navigating life's hardships with the ease only true camaraderie can bring. Chris' wonderful heart and warm smile were infectious; she made friends wherever she went. Her family would be honored if those friends would join them in a celebration of her life during a graveside memorial service at 2pm on Friday at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA 95624.
