Rodney LAAS Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 16, 2012.
LAAS, Rodney 'Keith'
Was born in Bandon, Oregon, on 11/29/35. He passed away on 10/11/12 after living most of his life in West Sacramento. He served in the Marine Corp and when discharged he worked at KJ's in West Sacramento, attended Heald's Electronic School and received an AA from American River College in Electronics. He worked for the FAA, Memorex/Burroughs, Unisys and retired from AT&T as a Testing Technician. He is survived by his ex-wife, Kathy Laas of Roseville, CA, half-brother James Laas of Ozark, MO, a step-sister Arlene Pereni of West Sacramento, many nieces, nephews and great nephews, closest friends, George Sequeira, Gabe Sequeira and Kathie Sequeira. At his insistence, there will be no services. He has chosen cremation with his mom's ashes scattered in the ocean. As far as any rememberance of him: he suggests you purchase a bottle of spirits or fine wine and enjoy. May he ask that the next time you lift a drink of your choice that you raise it high and say, 'This is for you Keith.' River Cities Funeral Chapel

Rod, I only knew you for a few years through Kathy, but we all had some good times and great dinners. Plus many Ham Radio friends & connections. Will truly miss not seeing and chatting with you.

You will be missed. I've known Keith since the early 1950, he was always a kind and gentle sole.
"This is for you Keith" I will be toasting you.........
