SALAMANCA - David "Chip" Wolfe Jr., 40, of Salamanca, died Sunday evening (April 19, 2021) at Olean General Hospital following a short illness.

Born May 11, 1980, in Ohio, he was the son of the late David Wolfe Sr. and Cynthia Crowley Wolfe.

He attended Salamanca High School and obtained his GED.

Chip had been employed with Bucket Pro in Olean for over two years and was a snow maker at Holiday Valley Ski Resort in Ellicottville.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children, the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was an ATV enthusiast who enjoyed riding them with his family and friends. He was recently collecting and refurbishing three wheelers. He was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Surviving are a daughter, Ava Wolfe, of Salamanca; a son, Colby Wolfe, of Salamanca; three sisters, Angel Wolfe, of Salamanca, Kelly Wolfe, of Randolph, and Tiffany Wolfe, of Ohio; a brother, Bill Lightner, of Salamanca; his best friend and great-nephew, Brantley Ferguson, of Salamanca; and several other nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
