BEVERLY HILLS, Fla. — Leo J. Potty, 92, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Fla.
Leo was born in Farmersville (Grafton), to Alexis and Amelia (Bousquet) Potty and made his home in Salem until retiring to Beverly Hills, Fla. in 1989.
Leo was a Mechanical Engineer, working at several hi-tech companies in Massachusetts, retiring from GE in Lynn. He and his wife, Rita, moved to Beverly Hills, Fla., where Leo was a volunteer fire fighter at the Pine Ridge Fire Station, and was very involved in all activities at the fire station. He was a private pilot and loved all things aeronautic, and all NASA related activities.
He was survived by his wife, Rita L. Potty, who since passed away on April 9, 2009; together, they shared 37 years of marriage. He is survived by a son, Robert and wife Beverly Potty of Kansas. He also leaves five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Joan Simmons of New Zealand and his first wife, Doris, who passed away in 1969.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 4, at St. Peter's Church, 39 Church Ave., Northbridge, followed by interment at St. Patrick Cemetery, Whitinsville. Arrangements being made by Turgeon Funeral Parlor, 80 School St., Northbridge. If desired, donations may be made to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464-1270.

We will miss Leo and Rita. They had such a zest for life and lived life to the fullest. Our sympathy and prayers are with the families of Leo and Rita.

My deepest sympathyto the families of Leo and Rita. Rita used to babysit my brother Roger and I when we were children in Castle Hill. They are both in heaven now.
