BEVERLY — Scott Patrick Fleming of Beverly Farms, formerly of Hamilton and Essex, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at Beverly Hospital after a short illness. He was 41.
Mr. Fleming (known as Hoss to many of his friends) was born in Salem, April 13, 1966, the son of Jean (Nygren) McLean of Beverly Farms and Thomas Fleming and Debbi Massé of Durham, N.H. He was predeceased by his twin brother Sean. They were graduates of Hamilton Wenham Regional High School in 1984.
He was the sales manager of Newbury Auto until 2000 and was recently employed at Salisbury Auto Salvage. He was an exceptional used auto parts salesperson with a strong understanding of the business and was well known in the industry across the country.
He was an accomplished drummer and played with the Curtis Haines Band for many years. He also taught drumming lessons. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling and fishing. He also enjoyed and owned classic cars and motorcycles.
"Hoss" was so loved by so many friends and family. He was a big man with a big following. He will be so missed.
As well as his parents, Mr. Fleming is survived by his two sisters, Colleen Fleming of Marblehead and Briana Kershaw of Groveland; brother-in-law, Chris Kershaw of Groveland; nephew and nieces Sara, Kevin and Lizzie Kershaw of Groveland; uncles Bryan and Gregory Fleming of Byfield and Michael Nygren of Fremont, N.H.; and aunts, Karlyne Novak of Florida and Mary Wignall of Peabody.
ARRANGEMENTS: A graveside service will be held at Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
