Louis Edward “Ed” Antosek, 71, died in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. on Jan. 29 1947, to the late Louis J. Antosek and the late M. Eileen Antosek, he graduated from Boyden High School in Salisbury in 1964, from Belmont Abbey College in Belmont in 1968, and from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. in 1972. Ed served in the United States Navy as a Family Physician and Naval Flight Surgeon from 1976-2007. He completed 30 years of service, attaining the rank of Captain. In 2010, Doctor Antosek retired to Burnsville. Dr Antosek came out of retirement several years ago and was performing flight physicals for the FAA in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Survivors include brothers, Joseph of St. Louis, Mo,, William of Edgewater, Md. and Richard of Coral Springs, Fla.; sisters, Mari Reavis of Eden, Michele Antosek of Salisbury, Rosemary Antosek of Salisbury and Sally Antosek of West Palm Beach, Fla; 13 nieces and nephews; and 10 grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Service: Funeral will be Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 at Sacred Heart Church with a reception at 10 a.m. and a Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be 1 p.m. at National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury. He will be buried with full military honors. Memorials: Memorial contributions may be made to Belmont Abbey College, 100 Belmont-Mt.
