As a quiet strong man, he followed his Christian beliefs. Rudy was a Mooresville Mason for over fifty years. He helped begin Centenary (West Rowan) Fire Department and was a fireman for over 40 years and participated in the annual fund raisers all his life. Rudy was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Harold; and his sister-in-law, Barbie Bolmer Whitener.
