Kimberly Krouskop Obituary

1968 ~ 2018
Kimberly Jean Krouskop, age 49, passed away suddenly Tuesday, September 4th, 2018 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born November 8th, 1968 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Glenna Jean Sandberg.
Kim grew up in Sandy, Utah and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1987. After graduation, she attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah where she met the love of her life, Jeff. They were married September 2nd, 1989. Together with her husband, she completed a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Utah and went on to become a labor and delivery nurse in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps as a Lieutenant JG upon retirement. After moving around to a few various states, Kim and Jeff welcomed their first daughter, Haley, in 1998. Later, Kim and her family settled in Sitka, Alaska and brought their second daughter, Emily, and first son, Jace, into the world in 2001 and 2005, respectively. Kim and her family moved to Lakeside, Arizona in 2008, where she spent time caring for her family.
Kim will be remembered as an incredibly caring wife, mother, daughter, and friend. An avid lover of tattoos, she has many meaningful works of art on her back, each having a very personal meaning about herself and her family. In her free time, Kim would almost always have a book in her hand and a diet coke with lemon in her glass; she loved anything Stephen King or Laurel K. Hamilton. Out of all the things she loved, her family was at the top of the list; she loved her husband, children, and mother with a ferocity that knew no bounds and would always make it known to them. She will be missed more than one could imagine.
She is survived by her mother Glenna Jean; husband of 29 years, Jeff; daughters Haley and Emily, son Jace; sister Cindy Scott (Douglas) of Washington; brothers Kip Durrant of Washington and Scott Durrant of Hawaii; sister-in-law Jeri Montella (Todd) of Utah; brother-in-law Joel Krouskop (Jamie) of Utah; mother and father-in-law Judith and David Krouskop of Utah, as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and family.
She was preceded in death by her uncles DB Clarke, Wayne Clarke, Fred Turner, and aunt Mickey Hogue.
The family will hold a private service for Kimberly at Larkin Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sandy, Utah on Tuesday, September 11th, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to offer a remembrance for Kim may do so by donating to the National MS Society online in Kimberly's name at nationalmssociety.org.
Arrangements were handled by Silver Creek Mortuary of Pinetop, Arizona and Larkin Mortuary of Salt Lake City, Utah. For those who would like to send private condolences or to sign an online quest book, please visit silvercreekmortuary.net.

I was a close friend to Kimberly in high school. She taught me how to love and be a friend. I lost nearly my entire memory due to a crash in 2000. Somehow I still have good memories and feelings about her. Kimmy, I'm really glad you have peace now after all your brave fighting that M.S.! I'm really proud of you - that you made such a great family. What a great legacy for you. Bye Kimmy!
