Larry Osborne Obituary
Fairview, UT - Larry Gardell Osborne, 81 of Fairview, UT died August 28, 2018 in Provo, UT. He was born July 5, 1937 in Fairview, UT to Gardell and Alta Amundsen Osborne. He graduated from North Sanpete High School, Snow College, and Utah State University. Larry served in the US Army from 1960-1965. Married Baerbel Weber while stationed in Germany in 1964. They had 2 children, Patti (Mike) McCormack, New York; Chris Osborne, Salt Lake City, UT. They later divorced. He worked at the Veteran's Hospital in Salt Lake City as a Cardiology Technician and after retirement he moved back to Fairview, UT. He enjoyed hunting, riding horses and herding sheep in his younger years. He was a great fan of John Wayne and his home is full of John Wayne memorabilia. He was also an avid follower of baseball and enjoyed playing golf in his later years. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Jeanette Terry. Survived by his children, two sisters, LaWana Shepherd, Spanish Fork, UT; Jeri Brady, Fairview, UT; and brother-in-law, Ross Terry, Fairview, UT and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 4, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary (96 N 100 W)Mt. Pleasant, UT. Friends may call Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary prior to services. Interment in the Fairview City Cemetery. Online condolence at www.rasmussenmortuary.com
