Berry Ray Banks Obituary
1959 ~ 2014
Salt Lake City, Utah-Berry Ray Banks passed away April 4, 2014 in SLC due to complications from a Lung Transplant and Aneurysm. He was born February 6, 1959 in SLC, to Berry Fredrick and Lucille Olsen Banks. Berry was raised in SLC, graduating from East High School and received his associate's degree in visual illustration and graphic design.
Despite Berry's debilitating lung disease, he accomplished many great things. He loved gardening, photography, painting, fishing, tinkering with his car, his computer and his Ipad. Berry loved open air painting, having painted on the streets of Venice, Italy, the shores of the Colorado River, many national parks and in the mountains that he loved.
Berry worked as an auto parts manager, a USANA distributor, and in ticket sales for the Utah Symphony.
Berry never complained, pushing forward, he took care of himself in spite of his struggles. He loved life and hoped for a second chance with his lung transplant. Being our "Hero", he taught us about courage, strength and determination.
