Christine Hendricks

1949 - 2014
May 7, 1949 ~ Nov 22, 2014
Christine Hendricks, our sweet wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
Chris was born in Salt Lake City on May 7, 1949, to Paul and Marie Frampton. She attended Hillcrest High School and BYU. From an early age, Chris was an avid equestrian, and it was while riding her horse at the Utah State Fair Grounds that she met her husband, Michael Hendricks, to whom she was married for 45 years. She was sealed to her eternal companion in the Salt Lake Temple, on December 27, 1968. Together they raised five children in Riverton, Utah.
Throughout her life, Chris was known for her remarkable generosity and compassion. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, always willing to serve in any capacity. She served the members of her church and community in many ways including Primary, Scouting, Relief Society, and youth programs. Most recently, she loved working with the young single adults as the Institute Teacher.
Chris loved to spend time outdoors and took full advantage of each day through activities like riding horses and horticulture. She enjoyed working hard throughout her life and spent many hours beautifying her surroundings, often sharing her talents and knowledge with her friends and neighbors.
She had the ability to make everyone feel like her family, greeting friends and strangers alike with a bright smile and a firm handshake. She faced her trials with patience, and even through her illness, she was selfless and always concerned with those around her.
Her loving service was returned by generous members of her church and community. The family wishes to thank Kay Bateman, her family, and the Elberta Ward for their kind support in recent months as well as Dr. Wendy Breyer, the staff of Central Utah Clinic, Roger Hiatt, and Dignity Home Health and Hospice.
Chris is survived by her husband Mike Hendricks; children Julie Ann Dial (Jody), Kendell Boehme (Steve), David Hendricks, Robert Hendricks (Nichole), Riley Hendricks (Gina); and ten grandchildren.
