Doug, I was so worried because I couldn't get a hold of you!!!your numbers have been disconnected I called Brookside Vets and they tried and said your number was disconnected also so I tried the obituaries and here I found you I was worried because you always kept in contact with me talking about our Poodles. You bought FiFi from me .....if your family doesn't want her I would be more than happy to take her back my email will be on this obituary so the family can contact me if they please I'd love to speak with them. Well Doug I sure am going to miss you! You are a very nice man and very loving to your pets and boy did I appreciate that. Well maybe ill see you someday again :-) I hope you're Poodles are being well taken care of I hope your family will get in touch with me too.

Erik ... I remember great summer vacations in Gunnison with your Dad, Doug, and as my cousin, his return visits with me in Salt Lake. These fun filled yearly rituals as kids, are my finest memories. Next...together at University of Utah, great parties, excessive double dating, and enough lack of study to keep life from getting too serious, all add to that memory collection. As marriage came for him, I met your Mom and it was love at first sight and she was soon cousin, too! Being so bright (and equally pretty) I still miss her and our shared "Save the World (and Doug)" (lOL). discussions. What fun they were! ... Alas, "Enter Old Age"...Still the same treasured pal. Phone chats now narrowed mostly to "Are you OK?" yet always Doug remained cheerful with some happy stories to relate. And usually they were about you Erik, and Vicky and Joan.. It warmed my heart to hear how proud he was of you, and that you were there for him, Erik, asking that he stay with you. But Doug remained ever and always INDEPENDANT! I wish you to know that he told me these thingsqs and he made sure that I understood the accomplishment of his entire life was you, Erik, so carry on!!! I will miss the chats I am now deprived of, and offer my condolences to you all. Your cousin, (also) ......... Jay Halverson
