1920 ~ 2012
Quintin was born in West Jordan, Utah on May 4, 1920. He was the fifth of ten children born to Henry Kendrick Bytheway and Mercy Rebecca Hill. At the age of 91 years, he passed through the veil into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ. His death on Friday, January 20, 2012 took place at his residence in West Jordan with his devoted wife of almost 63 years holding his hands. Quintin is a Veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Air Force. He worked for many years as a Master Mechanic at the West Jordan Sugar Factory and retired from Utah Power & Light where he received honors for his genius in his work there. Quintin married Imogene Naomi Pearson in the Salt Lake Temple on February 18, 1949. Together they raised a family of seven children. Quintin served in many church callings including two missions and was very devoted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to his covenants.
Quintin was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers LeRoy (Estell), Glenden (Marie), Mervin (Donna), Ralph, his sister Elva Ruth (Calvin) Webb, sister-in-law Cleo, and a granddaughter Loriann. He is survived by his wife Imogene, his brothers Ronald, Charles (Frieda), Alvin (Criesta), sister Darlene, sister-in-law Ruth, his children Jeanene (Gary) Reid, Brian, Lloyd (June), Ethan (Ruth Ann), Gilbert (Susie), Sara Wilcox, Marybeth (David) Marchant, 32 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Wednesday evening January 25th from 6-8 p.m. at the Elm Creek Ward Chapel. Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 26th at 1 p.m. with the viewing at 12 noon. Chapel address is 8539 S. 2200 W. West Jordan, Utah. Interment at West Jordan Cemetery.
