Richard Allen Obituary

Richard (Dick) Lewis Allen Together Again Richard Lewis Allen passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah Jan. 10, 2006. Richard was born to Lewis Alva Allen and Frances Sarah Winegar in Elko, Nevada on January 31, 1924. He is survived by two sons, Rex (Merlene) Huggins and Wayne Huggins; three daughters, Venna (Bob) Hilton, Shirley Gardner, Kerry (Byron) White; one daughter-in-law, Elaine Huggins; and one niece and nephew. He attended East High School in Salt Lake City and on September 18, 1969 married Ada Brady Huggins in Elko, Nevada. He worked for the Rio Grand Railroad for 43 years. Richard was an avid bowler, fisherman, and camper. He really loved the outdoors. Ada was the love of Richard's life and they spent 33 happy years together. He took great joy in his family and loved when the family was all together for reunions. He was preceded in death by his wife Ada, two brothers, one sister, one son and one daughter. He has 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grand-children, and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Friday January 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends my call one hour prior to services. Interment; Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park - Hillsdale Section.
