William Wendell Morris 1914 ~ 2010 In the morning hours of October 1st, 2010, our sweet father, brother, grandfather, and great-grand-father passed away into the arms of his beloved wife, Arlene, and those who have gone before him. William W. Morris was born to James W. Morris and Mary (Maime) Cobia Morris on August 4th, 1914 in Brigham City, Utah. He married Arlene Hansen on October 2, 1939 in Evanston, Wyoming, solemnized their union in the Salt Lake Temple, and raised five children. William, a man of many talents, was a mechanic, an inventor, and a welder, but his true passion was teaching welding for over 40 years at Salt Lake Technical College (later Salt Lake Community College) and later at Murray High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, five brothers (one twin), and wife Arlene. William is survived by his children, Kent (Donna) Morris, Kathleen Morris Mailander, Wendell Blair Morris, Kevin (Jeannie) Morris, and Lisa (Parrish) Kunkel, brother Reuben Morris, as well as 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9th at 2 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Garden's Chapel located at 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah, with a viewing one hour prior to services.
