Richard (Rick) Pavich died peacefully at his home in Sacramento, CA. on January 10, 2014 after a valiant fight with cancer.
Born November 2, 1961 in Midvale, UT, to Michael Daniel Pavich and Myrtle Burbidge Pavich. Rick graduated from Hillcrest HS and the University of Utah. He later earned a MS in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco.
A talented singer and actor, Rick was an active participant and contributor to the performing arts. During his 25-year career in Non Profit Management, he spent his energy helping give voice to important social needs for the betterment of others. Beginning in Washington DC with the Human Rights Campaign and the World Wildlife Fund, he later moved to California to work for Lutheran Social Services, The National AIDS Memorial Grove, and was working as the Director of Operations and Development for the Health Access Foundation at his death.
Rick is survived by his spouse Sam Reep, two brothers, Michael and John, and sister Barbara Miller. All who knew Rick recognized him as a gentle caring person spending his life in service to his fellowman. He will be missed.
