Alvin Pfliger Obituary
Bruce Lee Memorial Chapel
Alvin B. Pfliger, 92, born on December 25, 1911, to Martin and Mary Ann Pflinger, died February 10, 2004.
Alvin was born to a Pioneer Farmer of Franklin County coming from the Ritzville district to take up a homestead on Poverty Flats, 20 miles east of Pasco.
Alvin's family migrated from Odessa, Russia, in 1900, one year later settling in Ritzville.
For many years, Alvin's family made their home on the land they homesteaded finally coming to Pasco in 1923. Alvin was 12 years old at the time.
In 1976, Alvin retired from Burlington Northern Railroad as chief clerk.
Alvin was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Jean in September 2002, and also brothers Tom and Jake.
Alvin is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Dionne of Pasco; son, Raymond Pfliger of Pasco; and stepson, Jerry Campbell of Moses Lake, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private services were held on Friday, February 13, 2004, at City View Cemetery.
