Hugo Hannusch Obituary
Rev. Hugo Hannusch, age 93, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013. He was born June 13, 1919, in Winchester Texas. Rev. Hannusch was a Pastor in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod for 41 years. He also served in the 36th National Guard division and on active duty for 30 years. He retired as a Colonel in 1979 from the U.S. Army Reserves. Pastor Hannusch is survived by his daughter, Ruth Hannusch Geisler; son-in-law, Randy Geisler; granddaughters, Annie Geisler and Sarah Geisler; brothers, Dennis Hannusch and Gene Hannusch; and sister, Lavonia Dobson.

with his pastor, the Rev. Kim DeVries, officiating. Interment with military honors shall be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.
As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom.
His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy. May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. He will never be forgotten, and your family will be remembered in my prayers.
