Robert Ransleben

On Saturday, January 25, 2014, Robert (Bob) Ransleben, beloved husband, father and "Opa," passed away peacefully in his home. He was born to Oscar and Margie Ransleben in San Antonio on October 18, 1942. Bob lived in Floresville the last 14 years of his life, where he was an active member and frequent lay reader at Floresville United Methodist Church. He served his country in the Civil Air Patrol in the early 1960's and served his community as a Cibolo Volunteer Firefighter in the early 1990's.

Bob is survived by Anita, his wife of 38 years; their son Reed and daughter-in-law Lori of Ontario, Oregon; his daughter Wendy of San Antonio; his son Jim and daughter-in-law Connie of McAllen; his brothers Arthur Thomas Ransleben of San Antonio and Donald Donnley of Floresville; his sister Linda Rogers of Palestine; 12 grandchildren: Anthony, Kate, Martin, Sara, Michael, Steven, Haley, Morgon, Matthew, Julia, Mussette and Mykayla; one great-grandson Maddox; numerous nieces and nephews, and many others who cherished his friendship and rascally sense of humor.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends honor his love for children by making a donation to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital,, in his memory.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 30th at the Floresville United Methodist Church, 1205 B Street, Floresville, TX. The family will receive friends at a lunch to follow.
