Gerald Collet Obituary
Gerald William Collet, 52, passed away Tuesday August 19, 2014 at his home. He is survived by Nancy, his wife of 20 years, stepchildren Jonathan (Cara) Dobbertin of Denver, CO, Jennifer Dobbertin of San Antonio, and step grandchildren Brayden and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his parents Henry and Imogene Collet of Tiffin, OH, siblings Nancy (Matthew) McGowan of Chillicothe, IL, Jane (Steve) Dukes of Las Vegas, NV, Andrew Collet of Tiffin, OH, and Julie (Eric) Leppert of Columbus, OH. Gerry served in the Air Force and Air Force Reserve, and participated in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. After leaving active duty he worked for Sony and Toyota. Gerry was an avid fitness and outdoor enthusiast. He loved hunting, fishing and camping. He also designed and built the beautiful home he and Nancy shared for 8 years.
SERVICES
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. A chapel service will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. I met Gerry and Nancy on my visits to San Antonio, and always enjoyed my meeting with them. Gerry was such wonderful man, and always brightened ones day.

Our lives are so much better for having Gerry in them. He was an incredible individual, who was always willing to help his neighbors. My family's lives have all be touched by this great man. We will sorely miss him, but will carry his great memory warmly in our hearts. Happy Hunting!
