Celia D. Delgado passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Celyna, and her granddaughter, Jayme. Celia is also survived by her brother, Antonio Davila, and his children, Monica, Christopher, and Danielle. She will also be missed by nieces: Myrsa, Mara, Debbie, Delia, Michele, Mary, and Kathy and nephews: David and Michael, and many cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Jaime N. Delgado.

Celia was born in San Antonio, TX. She was a graduate of Fox Tech High School and remained connected to her roots on the west side of SA throughout her life. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science from the College of Pharmacy. It was at UT that she met her future husband.

Celia started her career as a Pharmacist at Rexall drugs. She then earned a Pharmacy Director position at Holy Cross Hospital. Holy Cross was the first hospital located in the East side of Austin.
Celia's love of education and the profession of pharmacy, were driving forces in her life. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Austin. She helped many members of her family, and other students by providing encouragement and other help along the way.

On August 18th at 1 pm, church services will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Austin, with Dr. Jim Rigby officiating. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Celia to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Austin or the UT College of Pharmacy.
