Charles Barrett Obituary

Charles T. Barrett, III (Trey), age 36, of San Antonio was unexpectedly called by our Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2003. A graduate of John Marshall High School, he served in the United States Coast Guard and was awarded numerous decorations for his service including the prestigious Life Saving Medal. Trey was a loving father and husband, deeply devoted to his children and very much loved by his wife, family and all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Diana T. Barrett; daughter, Laura Kristin Barrett; son, Charles Barrett, IV; stepdaughter, Melanie Trujillo; parents, Shari Coggeshall Barrett, Charles and Melissa Barrett; brother, Douglas Lloyd Barrett of Austin, TX; stepbrother, Chase Anthony Mauldin; aunts, Dr. Elizabeth and husband Dr. Baudelio Garza; Carol and husband Paul VanTuyl; numerous cousins and extended family. Family will receive friends on Wednesday at 5:00 P.M. at Porter Loring. ROSARY WEDNESDAY - 7:00 P.M. PORTER LORING MASS THURSDAY - 10:00 A.M. SAN FERNANDO CATHEDRAL Pallbearers are Todd Taylor, Tobin Taylor, Baudelio Garza Barrett, Carlos Garza Barrett, Jorge Calleja Barrett and Paul VanTuyl. Interment will be in San Fernando No. 3 Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary's University Bell Tower Fund, 1 Camino Santa Maria, San Antonio, TX 78228-8544. The family invites you to leave a message or memory at www.porterloring.com by selecting Visitation and Services. Select "Sign Guestbook" at the bottom of the individual Memorial.
