Chevrett "Chevy" Urena passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 43 years, 1 month and 24 days.



He was born in Glendale, California, on December 9, 1975, to Guadalupe Jose and Dolores Arredondo Urena.

Chevy was a resident of Floresville, Texas for 16 years and a former resident of Corpus Christi.

He was a very unique person and touched many lives through his crazy humor, always keeping his family laughing. He was loved dearly by his "Maw Maw."

Chevy leaves behind wonderful memories for all of his friends and family.

May he be with God forever.
As an organ donor, Chevy will continue to live through others.

Chevy is survived by his father, Guadalupe Jose Urena; his mother, Dolores Rodriguez and step-father (his loving "Pops"), Jose Luis Rodriguez; wife Rosanne Martinez of Corpus Christi; children Mariella Urena, Chevrett James Urena, and Chevrett Angel Urena, all of Corpus Christi; stepson Jesse Courvier of Corpus Christi; sister Yvette Urena of Floresville; brother Ricardo Arredondo of Laredo; step-grandson Jordan Courvier; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 12, from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at:

Floresville, Texas 78114.

A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1009 Trail Street, Floresville, Texas. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the church, with the Rev. Jorge Campos officiating.
