Kenneth W. Evens of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the age of 82.

He was born February 23, 1936 in Austin, Texas to Claude and Katie Evans. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1953 and from The University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in January 1958. He was both a Licensed Professional Engineer and Registered Professional Land Surveyor. He was a member of Hill City No 456 Masonic Lodge in Austin for over 50 years since 1958. He worked with the Texas Highway Department from January 1958 till January 1964 when he moved to Corpus Christi and then to San Antonio to work with Delinger Mahan Construction Co. until 1972. In 1972, worked with Leo P. Cloud and Son until January

1977 when he went into business with Glenn B. Quick as Quick and Evans Inc. In September 1988, he and son, Scott W. Evans, went into business as Evans and Evans, Inc. Construction firm. He was a life member of AGC of Tero NRATexas Exes and a member of Masonic Lodge #456.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his first wife; parents Claude Couden Evans and Katie Kunschick Evans. He is survived by his wife, Denise Banks; son, Scott W. Evans and his wife, Pam; step-daughters, Tammy Agan and Deborah Coleman; granddaughters, Caitlyn J. Hatchett and her husband, Taylor, Lauren Hatherall and her husband, Noel, and Avory Agan.


At Kenneth's request, he was chosen to be cremated and no memorial services will be held.
