Ret MSGT (USAF) Lee V. Lopez passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the age of 94. Mr. Lopez retired from the United
States Air Force in 1970 after 26 years of service. Afterwards, he worked for the State of Texas and retired in 1987.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gabriel Lopez; parents: Guadalupe and Maria Lopez; brothers: Mario Lopez and Willie Lopez; sister in law, Dorothy Lopez; in laws: Raymundo and Celestina Garza.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary G. Lopez; children: Arthur (Irene) Lopez, Sr., David G. Lopez, Jeff Lopez, Tina (Joe) Garcia; grandchildren: Arthur 'Guero' (Maria) Lopez, Jr., Brian (Tomee) Lopez, Steven Lopez, Nicole Lopez and Emily Celeste Garcia; 4 great grandchildren: Jolyssa, Michael (Destanie), Hailey and Isabella; sisters in law: Connie (John) Gonzales, Sylvia Garza, and Minnie Macias; brothers in law: Jesse (Lupe) Garza and Robert (Esther) Garza; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses of Encompass Home Health and Encompass Hospice for the care they had provided during these final months.

Funeral Services

Visitation will begin Thursday, January 10th at 5:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel, 1119 N. St. Mary's St., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral procession will depart The Angelus Funeral Home on Friday, January 11th at 9:15 A.M. for a Funeral Mass to be offered at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph South San Catholic Church, 535 New Laredo Hwy.

Interment will follow at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No.2 with military honors.
