Mother worked for Mrs. Bonner as her secretary in the late 60's and early 70's and I was fortunate to meet her. We both admired Lola for her legal expertise, fairness and compassion. She was a wonderful lady.

Lola L. Bonner, a Grand Texas Lady will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. We will miss her incredible spirit, her impeccable presence, her vision, her passion, her sense of family and community. She gave of herself to all that called upon her, tirelessly, even when she would rather have been at home with her little dog Echo or sharing a toast with a friend. I will think of her whenever I hear “The Eyes of Texas”, when I see an especially beautiful purple iris (although none can match the ones she grew from “The Old Sod”) and when I watch the San Antonio Spurs; she was such a fan! Via con Dios.
