Mrs. Lucy E. Swierc age 92 passed away peacefully on Mother's Day, May 13, 2018. Mrs. Swierc was born on November 11, 1925 in Hobson, Texas to the late R.J. Moczygemba and Alvina Sprencel-Moczygemba.

She married Vincent Swierc on June 8th, 1948 in Hobson, Texas. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Before her health problems she worked very hard on the family farm. She loved gardening and canning or freezing her crops. She loved playing dominos and playing bingo.

Mrs. Swierc is survived by her seven children Georgia (Dalton) Moczygemba of Hobson, Texas, Glenn (Geraldine) Swierc of Falls City, Texas, Jane (Norman) Moczygemba of Karnes City, Texas, Vincent Swierc Jr. of Hobson, Texas, Robert (Kathy) Swierc of Hobson, Texas, Richard (Cami) Swierc of Hobson, Texas and Clarence Swierc of Hobson, Texas, Mrs. Swierc is also survived by nine grandchildren, Darel (Angie) Moczygemba, Stacey (Rodney) Wiatrek, Tracy (Jim) Wood, Leticia (Travis) Hobbs, Brian (Heather) Swierc, Jeremy Swierc, Travis (Nicole) Moczygemba, Robbie (Jennifer) Swierc, and Rodney Swierc. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; Kelsey and Brandon Moczygemba, Lane Wiatrek, Levi Swierc, Brock and Brody Wood, Alexis Goggans, Lyla, Carter and Shaelyn Moczygemba and McKyla Swierc.

She is also survived by one brother; Valerian Moczygemba of San Antonio, Texas, one brother in law Z.A. Kruiciak of San Antonio, Texas and one sister in law Lillian Moczygemba of Falls City, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years of marriage Vincent Swierc, one grandson Jeffrey Swierc, one brother; Flavian Moczygemba, three sisters, Matilda Kruciak, Donata Banduch and Catherine Moczygemba.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to begin that evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hobson, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Fr. Andrzej Waszczenko S.D. S. officiating the mass. Burial will follow at the St. Boniface Cemetery in Hobson, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Darel Moczygemba, Robbie Swierc, Brian Swierc, Jeremy Swierc, Travis Moczygemba, Rodney Swierc, Jim Wood, Travis Hobbs and Rodney Wiatrek.
