Marianna Patton Frost Obituary
March 7, 1942 - December 26, 2018
Marianna Patton Frost peacefully went to be with her Lord December 26, 2018 at the age of 76. Marianna was born on March 7, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas to Frank Wilson Patton and Mary Frances Walker Patton. Following her graduation from Alamo Heights High School, Marianna went on to the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with a degree in English. As a young lady, Marianna was active in San Antonio's social scene as a German Club debutante and organized wonderful events for causes that were close to her heart. Marianna was a longtime member of the Laurel Heights Garden Club where she won numerous awards over the years, the Military-Civilian Club, The San Antonio Country Club, and The Argyle. She had a lifelong love and passion for flowers which led her to open her own floral shop, A New Leaf, right in the heart of her beloved community. She also used her gift of flower arranging to glorify her Lord, Jesus Christ, to the joy of her fellow worshippers at First Presbyterian Church. Marianna exuded life with her glory for God, appreciation for art of all kinds, and with her lively laugh. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Wilson Patton and Mary Frances Walker Patton. She is survived by her brother, Frank Wilson Patton, Jr. and his spouse Jacque; her brother David Walker Patton and his spouse Teri; her nieces Amy (Patton) Grammer and her spouse Andrew, Kathleen (Patton) Olivarez and her spouse Kevin; her stepmother, Jean Klaerner, and by numerous great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
