Michael Rivera Obituary
Michael Rene Rivera, of San Antonio, Texas, born September 23, 1955, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 1, 2005. He was a 1974 graduate of Oliver Wendall Holmes High School and he received his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. Michael was a 21-year veteran of the San Antonio Police Department, and a veteran of The United States Army. Currently he was employed at KLD & Associates and was a Reserve Sergeant with Precinct #2 Constable. Michael was a beloved husband, father and son. He was always known as a man with a 'big heart' who dedicated his life to helping others during their time of need. His willingness to place others before himself, especially his family, showed the type of man Michael really was. Michael was preceded in death by his brothers, Mark and Dickey. He was survived by his loving wife, Patricia Rivera; children, Candace, Jennifer, Roger and wife, Lisa; six grandchildren; parents, Patricio and Eva Longoria; grandmother, Adelina Castro; sisters, Mary Grace Villarreal, Yolanda Miranda, Gloria Paniagua and husband Fred, Yvonne Kracha, Sandra Rodriguez; brothers, Partrick Longoria, Andrew Longoria, David Longoria and wife, Roxanne; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this time of need. Michael was 'one of a kind' and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 from 5:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M. at Port Loring. ROSARY TUESDAY JANUARY 4, 2005 7:00 P.M.
