Nelson Fox Obituary
December 19, 1946 - April 28, 2018
Henry Nelson Fox Jr., born December 19, 1946, in Victoria, TX, was the only child of Dorothy and Henry Nelson Fox, Sr. Nelson passed away peacefully in his sleep April 28, 2018, after a life-long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Nelson donated his body to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. It was his desire that his earthly body be used to help find a cure for MS. Nelson graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in 1969. He enlisted in the US Navy, but it was about this time that doctors diagnosed his MS. With so little known at the time about this genetic disease, his doctor told him he may not live to be 40 years old. He went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone, where he spent his working career until he retired in 1992.
He then worked for NTS Communications, Inc. until retiring for a second time in 2000.

Nelson married his beloved Debbie Cooper in 1985. They did not have any children, but had many friends in Lubbock, Dallas and San Antonio areas. Nelson and Debbie helped people whenever they could and were generous in their giving. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie, in June, 2013. Both of his parents also preceded him in death. Nelson was grateful for the level of care he received from his care givers, Amanda and Olga, and also for Hospice of Lubbock. To honor Nelson's memory, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Lubbock, Hospice of Lubbock or Lubbock Meals on Wheels. Nelson was always accepting of his limitations in life; he never complained. He was a Presbyterian and loved his Lord.

Jesus has taken him home for his reward to be reunited with his family.
